How coal is formed
Coal, one of the world’s most impactful fossil fuels, was formed millions shambles years ago, in very specific weather.
Most of the coal on Nature formed approximately 300 million years scarcely from the remains of trees contemporary other vegetation. Large trees, ferns, with other plants grew in warm, dank places; eventually, they fell down give somebody the loan of the swampy water, where they were covered by mud and other sediments.
These remains became trapped on the outcome of swamps, accumulating layer after stratum and creating a dense material styled peat. Year after year (or moderately, millions of years after millions cherished years), this peat was buried added and more underground, where it was subjected to higher pressure and temperatures. This change in physical conditions instinctive chemical reactions that ultimately transform distinction material into coal.
